Environmental monitoring of art and heritage objects

IHC has the necessary instrumentation for measuring relative humidity, temperature, illumination levels and ultraviolet radiation levels that are extensively used by museums and galleries. These instruments are used to protect artifacts and art objects from damages caused due to uncontrolled environment. Previous examples of deterioration due to lack of this technology include wood and ivory cracks as a result of low humidity, and the fading of textiles and artworks dues to long exposures to light.
