Restoration of Oil Painting Collection

The collections of the President of Sanskriti Pratishthan have a Painting by Anjoli Ela Menon. 6X3 Feet painting is damaged due to mishandling. The paint is flaking from lot of areas. The painting is cleaned with organic solvents and consolidation is being done with Paraliod B-72. ( ref. Gallery )

Other than this oil painting collection includes around fifty oil paintings of famous Indian contemporary artists like Bhupen Khakkar, Manu Parekh, Gopi Gajwani, Kishori Kaul, Subodh Gupta, Suhas Nibalkar and many more. The restoration work including cleaning, consolidation, mending, filling, in painting and varnishing. ( ref. Gallery )

The contemporary painting executed by an Artist “Paramjeet Singh”, oil on canvas 28X46 inches. It was found used as a canopy by a local washer man. The current owner mended it by putting cello tape on the back. The big chunk of the paint layer from the upper left area was missing. The painting was cleaned with organic solvents, mended with Beva film from the back. Protective coating used is Paraliod B 72 Inpainting is done with Gamblin retouching pigments with suitable solvent ( ref. Gallery )
